About us

Newark Chapel Antiques Centre brings together many dealers from across the East Midlands, showcasing period furniture, artworks, decorative and collectable items, as well as vintage and mid-century modern pieces.

 

We chose to open a centre in Newark because it is still well and truly on the map as far as its association with the local, national and international antiques trade is concerned.

 

The Centre, a former Baptist church in Albert Street, Newark, opened after several months of renovation and fitting out work. We're really pleased with the reaction - already it's attracting a mix of local and regional visitors, as well as trade and we've sold a full range of items so far, including ceramics, paintings, furniture and collectables. 

 

It's an exciting project because we have further plans for expansion, with more sales areas and space for events, such as valuation evenings and art displays.
